Whether you need a single room rewired or a complete property rewire, Nash Electrical carries out all wiring work to BS 7671 18th Edition standards. All work is fully certified and Part P notified.
Here are some of the most common questions we get from new customers. If yours isn’t covered, get in touch.
Every property is different and timescales vary depending on the size, age and complexity of the installation. We assess each job individually and will give you a clear, honest timeframe before any work begins.
For a full rewire it's advisable to vacate the property as power will be off for extended periods and there will be significant disruption. For partial rewires this is usually not necessary.
Some lifting of floorboards and chasing of walls is unavoidable during a rewire. We work as neatly as possible, however making good and redecoration after the work is the responsibility of the customer and is not included as standard.
On completion you'll receive an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) registered with NAPIT, with all notifiable work submitted under Part P of the Building Regulations, confirming the installation meets current BS 7671 wiring regulations.
Signs include outdated wiring such as rubber or fabric insulation, a lack of earthing, old round-pin sockets, or persistent electrical faults. An EICR will confirm the condition of your installation.
